Solid Foods

Campbell, you are such a sweet little boy and your Mommy and Daddy are so lucky to have a calm, easy-going child to go with your older brothers.  You don't mind that it is always VERY loud in our house and you can take a nap almost anywhere.
However, there is a slight discrepancy between our understanding of night time activities.  Trust me, there was a time in your Mommy and Daddy's lives when being awake at 2 am was more of a norm, but that time has long since past.
That is why we decided that at 5 months old it was time to start SOLID FOODS!  Your mommy was a little hesitant, but the thought of an entire nights sleep uninterupted was just too enticing.
As you can see, you were a huge fan of rice cereal.  We will gradually move into more food choices over the next few months and I am sure you will soon be eating me out of house and home just like your brothers!

V.I.P.

This week is Caleb's Very Important Person day at Pre-k. This is the first year the boys have had separate days so I hope it works out well and that Cooper understands his turn is coming. In January.

So each VIP is asked to make a healthy snack for 16 people to celebrate your day. And they get to pass out their snack which they think is cool for some reason. I kinda
Think on your day everyone should be bringing You snacks, but thats not the point here. I had a pretty difficult time finding a healthy snack that a four year old could make himself that 16 preschoolers would want to eat. So we made a trail mix of popcorn, dried fruit, cheerios, and chocolate cheerios ( I know it's not the healthiest, but it was the best I could do) and they scooped them all up in spiderman cups. We talked a lot while we were Making them about it being calebs day, so I really hope it goes well. We also talked about washing your hands
After you potty a lot. I really need both concepts to sink in. Cooper said he thinks he remembers the rule actually being that whoever helped make the snack gets to help pass out too. I hope his teachers are flexible with the rules :)

PS.. Can you tell I got my blogging app to work??

We just left Galveston after our yearly trip with the Timmys. It was lots of fun and super crazy having a house with four kids. Everyone had a blast and we look forward to our next trip!!! There will be more pictures to come when we get home but we are driving down the road right now and this is all I have on my phone.

The Happy Birthday Blog!

Those of you who are know my wife, know how much she LOVES her birthday.  In fact, when we first started dating, her birthday was actually celebrated throughout the month of August.  I quickly broke her of that habit, but the desire still remains for pink balloons, diamonds and store bought cake everyday of the month.
Shorty, I hope you know how much you are loved and how amazing a woman you are for giving me these handsome little boys!  These boys are such sweet little clones of their mother and it makes me love you even more to see you in their little personalities!
I hope you have an amazing day and maybe we will have a couple surprises left when you get home this afternoon!

Volcanoes

We spent the morning making volcanoes. A little baking soda, food coloring (drippy drops), and vinegar (dangerous stuff) and we had hours of messy entertainment. Probably should have investigated if this could harm squirrels or something, but it's too late now.

The Circus

The special event of the weekend was the boys birthday present from Uncle Mike and Sara! We went to the circus to celebrate Sara's birthday.

The circus opened an hour early so you could walk and see all the animals.

The theme of the circus was "the Circus Train". This was a big hit with the boys.

Cooper and his mommy!

Check out Caleb's hat.

Mike and Caleb.

Thanks to Sarah for being a good sport when Caleb decided he couldn't see and needed to sit in her lap.

4th of July parade

The boys rode the church float in the local parade today. It was hot and took a while to get started, but everyone had a great time!!

They went to a pool party last night and had a great time celebrating Decker's birthday!!!
When it came time For the cupcakes, Cooper dropped his and had to get another. His new one had red icing and Caleb decided he needed one and got very upset. As embarrassed as I'm sure matt was, this is one of my favorite pictures ever.
