Help Us Find Bulah a Home

The most precious beagle puppy came in to our lives this morning and we need your help finding this angel a new home. Jennifer rescued her this morning from certain death at the hands of a drainage ditch, but I don't think we need a new dog to add to the mix! I really did struggle with this decision. She is an angel that plays so sweet with the boys and absolutely adores Jennifer. Just a minute ago she was running frantically around the house because Jennifer wasn't done rocking Caleb to sleep. I know in my heart that we would make a good home for her, but I am just not ready to take on this responsibility. Please help make this easy on us by finding her a good home.

This is where I need your help. If you are a dog lover, then start the preparations for a new puppy because you are going to fall in love with her the second you see the beautiful Bulah! If you know a dog lover, please put the word out that Bulah is available.

A Year has Passed . . .

It is hard to believe that this time last year Jennifer and I were going to bed knowing our little Cooper would have his first and hopefully last surgery of his life. Looking back I don't know how we got through the stress leading up to the surgery and the guilt knowing a decision you made put your child through this . . .

You will happy to know that Mr. Poopers Too is doing just fine and we are headed to see Dr. T tomorrow for our annual checkup. Just to make sure that everyone know how happy this little boy is now that he has a new round dome, here is a recent picture.

Where is Uncle Mike?

If anyone has seen our Uncle Mike, please let us know! We haven't seen him in so long that we have almost forgotten what he looks like! Unfortunately, this is the most recent picture we have of him!

Go Pack!

Everybody needs to turn on their TVs to Fox Sports Southwest right now to support the Lufkin Panthers in their quest for their first Baseball State Title since 1964. They are playing some team from El Paso at Dell Diamond in Roundrock.

Jennifer and I grew up in Lufkin and Jennifer still re-lives the glory days of being a Varsity Cheerleader and getting to wear her "name-top" (the cheerleader top with their name on them vs. "Lufkin" or "Panthers"). WE are very excited that the ball game coincides with nap time!

I promise to post pictures if Jennifer busts out any former cheerleading uniform regardless of whether or not it is a name-top.

Chili!

Our first day of Big Boy School went so well we celebrated with a big bowl of Chili for dinner. Because that's what you do when you have a good day! They walked right in (Cooper walked, I carried Caleb) and I headed off to work and then met Karen for lunch. When I arrived, the director of the school told me she needed to discuss a biting incident involving Caleb. In my head, I was hoping we were not the first family kicked out of preschool the first day. While they have bitten each other a good bit, and a friend here and there, this was going to be the first stranger biting. I apologized and asked if was at least Cooper that he bit. Come to find out, IT WAS CALEB THAT GOT BIT! It wasn't my kid biting people!!! This is very good news! We have had such a good couple of weeks and I was going to be so upset if we were regressing.
*Update* I took a little break from this blog to deal with two biting incidents. I can't decide if I should count it as one incident since Caleb bit Cooper because he had a book he wanted so Coop bit him back. I knew I shouldn't have blogged about how well they have been getting along!!

First Day of School

The boys are off to their first day of Big Boy School today. We will recap later with all their adventures. The agenda today includes snack time, spanish lessons, chapel, playing with puppies and meeting all sorts of new friends.

More Summer Fun!

The boys are starting to really love water! The only problem is there is only one water hose and they both fight over it. So after the pool is filled up, the water table is topped off, and I make it rain for a while, I turn it off when they aren't looking and pretend the water ran out. 53 UH OH's later, they move on to playing in the water and only shake the hose at me and scream UH OH and PLEASE every 2 minutes.

Please note the HEB sticker on Caleb and the big heavy new green pool. I decided to go to HEB to buy the boys a pool since they just woke up from a nap and this would prevent me from having to fix them a snack at home and then drag them to walmart. (HEB has the best supply of samples known to man). After I drag the pool and wait in line behind the 45 other people randomly at HEB in the middle of the day on a Monday, I finally get to the check out counter. The check out lady is familar with the boys from Daddy's Sample Sundays, and she kindly sends someone to check the price of the increasingly heavy pool. I let the kind looking women behind me go ahead (even though she had more items than the Express Check out allows) and pride myself on my well behaved children and thoughtfulness. At this very moment, Caleb decides he doesn't like his pineapple and turns around and gives it to Cooper. Cooper in turn leans forward and drops his roll over Caleb's shoulder. (This is huge news in the sharing department). At this point I am about to cry I am so happy. The lady I so generously allowed to pass me turns around says "They look like they have the devil in them". At this point, I think I might have growled at her. I said (maybe hollered), "What did you say about my children?" She tries to explain her daughter has 3 boys and they are a handful. My favorite cashier looks at her with her hand on her hip and starts shaking her head while screeching, " YOU BEST BE GLAD THEIR DADDY WASN'T AROUND TO HEAR YOU TALKIN BOUT HIS BOYS LIKE DAT!" She keeps muttering to herself about the nerve of some people and that my boys have nothing but sweet things in them . The rude lady run off and we drug our pool home and played all afternoon! After a wonderfully day of brotherly love, Caleb took a chunk out of Cooper's back because he was hogging the window.

Water Playdate!

Andrea hosted a water play date for all the kids and the boys sure did enjoy it! They played in the pool, with bubbles, in the flour bucket, and then had a picnic with pizza and Popsicles!!! They had a blast and the mommies enjoyed themselves as well!!

A Crazy Weekend!

Those of you who follow the blog regularly know that Jennifer and I do a very good job of scheduling road trips to visit our friends for birthdays, weddings, showers, etc. What you may not know is that each of our previous trips have only been for one night! That all changed this weekend when we headed to The River Trip 2009! Every year, my friends and our significant others gather on the Frio River in Concan, Texas to relive our glory days and act like we are 19 again. Good time are had by all and for the most part, no one gets hurt.

When you have kids, especially mulitiples, multi-tasking is a skill very quickly learned. This hold true not only for your interactions with your children, but your friends as well. Austin may not actually be on the way to Concan, but weekends like this don't present themselves often so you have to get as many friends in as possible. That said, we headed to Austin on Friday for Lunch with The Timmy's (Timmy, Sarah and Ella Myers) and Kim and Adam! The locale was Austin's own Hula Hut and it was quite tasty. As we quietly ate our lunch and enjoyed some adult conversation, a singele tear was shed because we missed Cooper and Cable already!

Jennifer and Kim after lunch!

Jennifer and Sarah during lunch!

This is the only picture we managed to take over the entire River Trip! Hopefully I don't blind anyone with my paleness!
