Easter Pictures

A couple of weeks ago I stopped into walgreens and noticed they were already putting their easter stuff out. Still angry about the ridiculous amount of money we spent on santa pictures, I decide to try my own easter pictures. So I pick up 40 bucks worth of eggs, paper grass, baskets, ears, and stuffed animals. I am done wasting money on ridiculous stuff.

By the time I get them fed, dressed, fix caleb's hair , get the mango of Cooper's ear, and lotioned up (Cooper has some dry skin) they are not really in the mood for pictures. But I proceed against my better judgement. As it turns out, we might be off to the mall this weekend to spend 24.99 on an 8 X 10 with the easter bunny.

Here is a picture of the hair I had to deal with from Caleb this morning. After various attempts at correcting the problem, I just hoped the ears would cover up the bed head.

I draped the beautiful blankets Aunt April made over a big basket and dump a bunch of eggs in it.The boys loved it at first.....

I am not quite sure how they felt about the ears, but they sure did think the other one looked silly. After a while we gave up trying to get a cute picture and everyone just chewed on their ears.

Caleb does not seem to enjoy this at all.

Chapter Book Babies

One of our goals is to read to the boys as much as we can. This is especially helpful with the nighttime routine as the boys know that when Daddy pulls out the chapter book it is time to start winding down because it is bedtime.

When I was growing up, I can remember my Mom reading me books like Stuart Little and Charlotte's Web. That is why I made sure these were two of the first books I bought for the boys.

Ok, we try not to let the boys watch all that much TV. That being said, we do succumb at times and pop in the Baby Einstein video. I know isn't probably the most productive use of our time, but the reaction I get from the boys when I take them to Best Buy and stick them in front of the wall of TVs is priceless. This past Tuesday I just had to take them back to Best Buy and get a picture of their reaction.

I'll Cry If I Want To....

One question I get asked almost every day is "Do they ever cry at the same time?" Yes. Of course they do. Take today for example. Both babies had a great afternoon nap for the first time in days, so we thought we would have a bite to eat at the little Mexican food place down the road. We might have pushed the boys a little too much ...

Notice at the beginning of dinner they seemed to enjoy daddy's new method of keeping their clothes clean. Great in theory. But the meltdowns quickly began.

Caleb calmed down after this picture and daddy was able to feed him. Cooper, however, did not.

He got so upset he had to have his bath and go straight to bed. Poor thing got another tooth today, so he had a lot to fuss about. Caleb ended up finishing off every ones food.

The Bright Lights of Hollywood!

So, "30 Blogs in 30 Days" was a little more difficult than I originally expected. The problem is that after a few days if you don't continue to be innovative and original you lose your audience. Well guys, you can rest assurred that we have plenty of activities and ideas that are going to keep you coming back day after day.

March 4th marks the beginning of Cooper and Caleb's adventures on the BIG SCREEN! Yes you read that right, we have home movies. I was having a little trouble doing this with our home computer because WMP 11 has some issues right now, but thanks to the work laptop we have movies.

The video above is very rare footage of how the boys interact with each other when they think no one is looking. As we have discussed, they are very social babies that want to be a part of everything at the same time. Therefore, once they notice you are around, they will immediately interact with you. Notice how Jennifer snuck up on them to get this video. Cooper does notice he is on film, but because Caleb has his back to Jennifer he is able to grab Cooper's attention.

The tickle monster is a tactic that Daddies use to make their kids laugh. This tactic is very successful with both of the boys, but unfortunately Caleb was asleep when this video was shot. We are starting to see the end of the 3rd nap which means you have to be on your toes with these guys or the dreaded TURBO FUSSIES will quickly ensue. Cooper seems to be the most ready to end the 3rd nap which is why we have him awake and allowed Caleb to sleep.

Rainy Days are the Worst!

So, Daddy took off work on Monday and Tuesday of this week to play a little golf, hang us with us and give Mommy a well deserved break. It turns out that the man upstairs had a different plan for our day. The problem is that on days like today Mommy and Daddy won't let us go outside because it is too cold and wet. That means that we get passed between the floor, our exersaucer and the jumparoo. As you can imagine that gets really boring really fast. Daddy is hoping that the rain will stop in the early afternoon and we might be able to get out of the house.

The problem is that there really just isn't that much to do when you are stuck in the house. Mommy and Daddy do the best job that they can we are just very social babies and need to be out and about.

Well, you will be glad to know that we did get out of the house just long enough for Daddy to head to Golf Galaxy. His friends Linsey and Sheldon Ginsberg got him a gift certificate for his birthday which has now turned into this huge net thing that Daddy says will catch the golf balls after he hits them. If you ask us, it looks like Daddy is going to be paying for some of the neighbors windows in the near future.

Flashback Monday!

Jennifer and I were talking this past weekend about how much they have grown in the past 7 months. It is pretty difficult for us to tell unless we start going back through old pictures. I thought that a fun theme for one of my catch up blogs would be for each of you to share in the experience we had this past weekend.

The boys are both almost 16 pounds now. That is quite a bit of difference from Cooper's 6 lbs. and Caleb 5.2 lbs at birth. When you look at the pictures below make sure you see how TINY their legs were. It is just amazing how chubby they have gotten. In fact, one of my favorite things to do when I change their diapers is to pinch their leg fat. They just laugh and giggle like I am tickling them to death.

Baby A

Baby B

So we hear all the time about how many fans Cooper and Caleb have, but now it is time to quit lurking and identify yourselves. I figured the best way to do this would be through an interactive blog. If you are true fans of the boys, you will be able to pick out which one is which from the pictures above. Post your answers in the comments section with your name. I will post the answers later in the week along with a special shout out to those who answered correctly.
