Times Are a Changing . . .

Hopefully this morning either finds you a) still asleep or b) waking up to find out your forgot about the time change and now you actually do get another hour of sleep. That is not the case in the Seely household this morning.

We have always had trouble with the time changes. In fact, we haven't really ever adjusted the boys they just changed our expectations. I remember when we "sprung" forward, we were excited because the boys started sleeping until 7 a.m. without fail. They started going to bed later, but the extra hour in the morning was worth it.

This morning started @ 4:30 with Caleb and he was almost back asleep Cooper woke up. Ahhhh, the joys of twins! We have read all books and tried the "15 minutes earlier" each night approach, but honestly they just end up falling back in to great sleep habits. It will be a rough week or so, but who needs sleep anyway! Maybe if I would just go to bed before 1 a.m. I wouldn't be so tired.

Here is to hoping they go to bed earlier in the evenings!

Super Seelys!!!!

We drove to Katy today to visit Sara and attend their annual Halloween party. The boys had a great time and we discovered that they LOVE pinatas. They were so excited that it was impossible to take a picture with everyone looking. We though the bubbles would keep them happy, but Caleb just spilled his on the couch and I freaked! We got home and went trick or treating and then stayed out until 8:30!!!!!!! We helped our neighbor "Mike-Mike" pass out candy , but Mike - Mike skipped his nap and the boys were up way passed their bedtime and that ended quickly. Both boys discovered a love for candy, but M&Ms were their favorite by far.

The Zoo Boo

This past weekend we visited Mema, Papa, Gran and Granddad in Lufkin. While we were there we felt it couldn't hurt to give the boys Halloween costumes a trial run at the Ellen Trout Zoo's "Zoo Boo"!

The boy did really well with the concept of someone putting candy in their bags, but they can't really say "Trick or Treat" just yet.

Super Cooper!

Super Webbers!

If our camera wasn't such a piece of junk this picture would have been awesome. Even still you can tell how much Caleb loves his Granddad!

CHEESE!

The boys have gotten into pretending a lot lately and it is so cute!! When they eat all their food, they keep pretend eating and even pretend share!!! They also pick up certain toys and pretend they are cameras. Right now a dry eraser and toy truck are cameras! They hold it up and say CHEESE and the other one poses for him! So I thought I would try and see if me saying cheese would get them to pose and it did!!!

Also, you can see that Cooper insisted on wearing his "pack pack" while he ate breakfast. This is not the first time we have dealt with unusual demands. They don't make them very often, but when the do, they are pretty dead set on it. So if it doesn't cost money and can't hurt anyone, I just go with it. These include the wearing of socks with crocs, putting socks on the hands and screaming "sock hands" all the way down the road, and now a back pack while eating. Oddly enough as I list these, I am noticing it is all Cooper. Actually , their teachers noticed their fascination with rubber gloves and sent them each home with a set and Caleb wore them while he ate lunch and then wanted to be rocked to sleep with them. So I had to wait for him to fall asleep and then peel them off of him.

Petting Zoo

The zoo visited the boys preschool today! They had so much fun!! This is what Matt calls "The Classic Webbers". I love it when he makes this face. It's funny because he is usually so silly and you never see this face in real life.

I love that Cooper finds the one thing in the entire petting zoo you aren't supposed to play with.

AT&T Uverse

Have you ever wanted something, but never really understood exactly why you would go to such great lengths to get it. Well, that is how I am right now about AT&T Uverse. For years now I have heard really great things about it, but the knock was always that it could be very difficult to get installed. Here is a brief summation of how this has gone so far:

- Ordered the service on-line, October 1st. I get a really great deal. $140/month (plus taxes and fees) which includes HD TV, Internet and Digital Phone. The internet ends up being free for the first six months so it is only going to be $110.

- Problem #1 - Uverse phone doesn't play nice with Comcast's Home alarm monitoring service, so I spend 1.5 hours on the phone setting up an analog phone and making sure I can get the same pricing.

- Problem #2 - Comcast won't release my phone number in time to coordinate with my TV and internet installation. That means we have two different appointments.

- Problem #3 - Technician shows up this morning and cannot get a signal. He has to call in a Tier 2 technician to help and their, of course, isn't one in the area.

- Problem #4 - 2 hours later the Tier 2 technician shows up and through their combined efforts tells me that in order to receive a signal in my home, they are going to have to call in a "dig crew" to run a line from the Terminal to my house.

So right now I am on the phone with ATT trying to make this worth my while. Why am I doing this? I can't really tell you at this point, but I will keep you up to date on my progress. We have currently talked them out of an additional $10 off / month, free HBO for 3 months and free Showtime for 1 month.

Tell me again why I am doing this?

For those of you who don't really care about my adventures with ATT, I will have Jennifer put some pics up later today so that this entire post isn't just about my dealings with ATT.

Happy Birthday Aunt Ann!

Cooper and Caleb sat down earlier this evening to discuss a strategy for their Happy Birthday Aunt Ann post and decided it was time to shake things up a bit. Over the past few months you have seen numerous (some of you might say there haven't been near enough) posts highlighting Daddy's witty banter or Mommy's never-ending love for her two boys. While these posts have gained critical acclaim amongst the blogging world, they just didn't have quite the umph needed for such an important post.

That is why we decided that it was time to re-introduce Cooper and Caleb as the movie stars they will likely become. This movie depicts the boys and their new joy for singing and dancing. "Ring Around the Rosie" and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" are mainstays in our day and this was just to cute not to share.

For those of you who don't know, My Aunt Ann has spent the boys entire lives showering them with gifts and making trips to Houston, Fredericksburg and Lufkin to see them. We are so lucky to have her in our lives and wanted to make sure that everyone knew how special she is to us. Happy Birthday Aunt Ann!
