We're Back . . .

Alright ladies and gentlemen, Seelyfam.com is back and we are better than ever. Well, not really, but there will be a genuine effort to up the blog count over the next few weeks. This past weekend was really special because we were off to Lufkin for the boys 2nd, 1st Birthday Party. Gran and Granddad weren't able to make it to the 1st party, so the obvious solution was to have another. The boys didn't mind one bit the new toys and most of all they didn't mind their second helping of cake in the past few weeks. This cake was of the carrot variety, but not organic. Mommy relented yet again and the boys were happy.

The party was a huge success. The guest list included Gran, Granddad, Granddaddy, Mema, Papa and Grandma Lisa. Gran, of course, had arranged for a professional photographer so be on the lookout over the next couple of weeks for some more special pictures.

The best part about Lufkin is that every member of our family thinks they have to give the boys gifts no matter if it is their birthday or not. Since this was a special weekend the gifts were out of control and too numerous to list. They did include the standards of clothes and toys so feel certain the boys were well take care of on their first birthday. However, if you feel the need, we still have plenty of room for more clothes and toys. The worst part about all these gifts is that a 4-door sedan is just not meant to hold a 4 person family, especially when two of those individuals are only 1 year old. However, all the blame cannot really fall on the boys. During the unpacking process I made the observation that Mommy and Daddy had managed to bring home 11 different pairs of shoes. Really? Are you freaking kidding me? That is just ridiculous.

Other highlights from the weekend included Jenny and Cory's wedding. Jenny is a friend of mine from High School and they had one hell of a party for almost the entire City of Lufkin. It was an amazing night and we would like to thank Jenny and Cory for letting us be there to celebrate with them!
