Blog Smack and Other Random Thoughts

Seelyfam.com would like to introduce it's latest partner in the Baby Blogging Industry ELLAphants and UmbrELLAs (missellajane.blogspot.com). It really is great to be able to take a peek in our friends lives for a quick second and also to see their kids grow. However, according to the articles of incorporation required of all baby blogs, BLOG SMACK is strictly forbidden.

Webster's defines BLOG SMACK as follows:

Communications, of any kind (blog, text, phone, etc), between Blogger A and Blogger B intended to imply one blogger is more proficient or excels in the act of blogging

Seelyfam.com does not condone these actions nor will it sit idley by and allow others in the blogging industry to openly disregard the bylaws of the industry. Further actions directed at Seelyfam.com will warrant a direct response from our legal counsel, Uncle Mike.

Now that is out of the way, this week has been pretty good. Work was pretty crazy, but visits from Mema, Mother and the Root took a little stress out of the day which is always a good thing. After a while, it does become quite difficult to find things to keep the boys entertained. There are only so many times during the day you can go to the YMCA, the Mall, Children's Museum, etc. Coupled with the fact that we are starting to see the first signs of the "Terrible 2's", the days can get very long. I guess I need to qualify my previous statement because it is Jennifer that is dealing with the long days, not me.

In my very brief experience with children of this age, I have to say the "Terrible 2's" are really nothing more than a communication issue. You have a small child that obviously knows what he wants, but cannot communicate that need to you. How many of us get pissed off at work, school, etc. when you are trying to explain something to someone and they just don't get it. That is a toddler's experience 24/7/365. Who wouldn't act out if they had to deal with that everyday.
